The Theatre Arts Department at Southwestern College, for over 50 years, has been committed its mission of educating tomorrow's theatre-makers while producing high quality plays and musicals. Our 4-show season has traditionally featured a repertoire as varied as any regional theatre. Past productions have included "Romeo + Juliet", "In the Heights", "Blood Wedding", "Rent", "Our Town", "American Idiot", "Noises Off", "Oedipus El Rey" and many others. We began our Southwestern Summer Shakespeare Festival in 2023, producing "The Comedy of Errors" and "Hamlet" in repertory.
